Letter from the EditorsGreetings Boneyard, Our first two issues were built from the stories and poems we received during our first submission period, so we have sat on these for months in eager anticipation for you to finally read them. It is exciting to now have them out in the world. This issue deals heavily with the concept of grief in its many different forms. Such topics can be inherently difficult to face, so we thank you for reading. The ways that we react to traumatic experiences—from the horrors of war, those weaponizing religion against their followers, or losing someone to their own hubris—and how we continue to live past them is where our focus tends to lie. Though many of these stories may fill you with a sense of unease, look for the glimmers of hope and humanity that live within them. We hope that these stories are ones you will reflect upon, just as they have been for the three of us. I would be remiss if I didn’t carve out a portion of this letter to give our thanks to everyone who has joined us along this journey. Whether you picked up this issue out of pure curiosity or if you have been supporting us upon the release of our first issue earlier this year, it means a lot to us. We have been able to meet other publishers and writers within the Pittsburgh writing community, and to say that Baubles From Bones has received a wonderfully warm reception would be an understatement. As always, a huge shoutout to our friends, family, and peers. Your words of encouragement and enthusiasm towards this quirky little zine fills us with continued fervor to embolden the voices of immensely talented authors.
