The Rhysling Award longlist dropped the other day, and Baubles From Bones received 3 (three!) nominations! We are over the moon with this news -- so excited and so so very proud of the writers nominated.
The poems nominated are: "The Suns in Her Eyes" by Deborah L. Davitt, "Amateur Mycologists" by Mariel Herbert, and "The Oarfish Bride" by Amelia Gorman. If you haven't yet, give them a read! They're all fantastic poems :) Awards weren't a thought that we'd even considered when the SFPA reached out to confirm the nominations. It is so wickedly cool to see the work we've published gain recognition like this. It means a lot to us, and I hope Amelia, Deborah, and Mariel are just as thrilled as we are! We're currently working through our latest batch of submissions and have lots of pieces that have us very excited -- particularly the poetry!! So stay tuned for those in future issues and keep your fingers crossed for all these poems to make it from the longlist to the shortlist. 💀 |
